To create, direct and accomplish the program for the Royal Silver Jubilee celebrations in the Stavanger region.
During the summer of 2016, King Harald and Queen Sonja visited Stavanger City as part of their Silver Jubilee tour. Our client, Stavanger Municipality, was the host and organiser of a garden party at majestic Ledaal Manor House, in addition to a public event in the Amphitheatre, Stavanger Concert Hall.
To define the project’s profile, framework and the various ideas and solutions, our project leaders worked in close collaboration with Stavanger Municipality’s project group. It was of great importance to them that the events highlighted the region’s diversity and rich cultural life. Subsequently, a wide spectrum of artists and performers, both professionals and amateurs, were engaged.
Kulturkompaniet was in charge of directing and presenting the contributors at the events. His majesty King Harald warmly welcomed the guests. At the garden party, local and short travelled food from Rogaland county was served, and the entertainment presented various artistic acts.
The Mayor invited the public to participate in a big event at the large open air Amphitheatre in Stavanger Concert Hall for more celebration and entertainment.
